Career Presentation Request
Staff, faculty and campus partners can schedule career presentations by reaching out to a College Career Center or signing up for a Longhorn Career Facilitator training. Please review the two options below.
College Career Centers
If your class or student group is housed within a certain college/school, please request a career presentation from your College’s Career Center. If you are not affiliated with a specific college, then please reach out to the college that represents the majority of the students in your class or group. For example, if most of your students are Moody majors, then we ask that you reach out to Moody Career Services.
If the College Career Center is unavailable for a presentation, please consider a Longhorn Career Facilitator training.
Longhorn Career Facilitators
A Career Facilitator receives a training on the career topic they would like to present over, and then presents the information to their class/group. Trainings equip you with all the necessary knowledge and materials to give a successful presentation: presentation slides, facilitation guide, resources, and how students can connect with their College Career Center.
Choose from the following facilitation topics:
- Best Resume Practices
- Job & Internship Searching
- LinkedIn Tips & Tricks
- Networking 101
- Interviewing Skills
*If there is a career topic not listed, but are strongly interested in, please email careered@austin.utexas.edu.
Benefits of becoming a Longhorn Career Facilitator:
- More flexibility for you and your students on when career presentations happen.
- Students will have easy access to presentation materials and resource guides.
- Open up career conversations with students and create a stronger connection with your group.
